Are your looking tiled floors tired?  Not as bright as they once were?

The main reasons for this are that modern tiles are often engineered with a slightly textured pet safe tile cleaningnon slip surface.  This contributes to ceramic floors becoming soiled, dull and virtually impossible to effectively clean via traditional methods such as mop and bucket. Also, because of its absorbent nature, grout quickly becomes discoloured and is a breeding ground for bacteria.

Using the latest steam technology and tile cleaning solutions, our specialised tile cleaning process can remove this ingrained dirt, grease and limescale from your ceramic tiled floors and walls. Our tile cleaning involves firstly treating the floor or walls with a pre-spray. This is followed by a non aggressive scouring process which begins to loosen and separate the soil molecules from the tiled surface and the grout. Next, the surface is steam cleaned with an extraction steam cleaning process.  This not only removes the soiled solution but the action of the steam also sterilises the surface of the floor or wall, leaving it sanitised and hygienically clean.  Finally, as necessary, we may also then buff the floor to remove any residual moisture.

Typical areas we clean are kitchen tiled floors and walls, bathroom tiled floors and walls and also shower screens and cubicles.

Most types of hard floors can be safely cleaned, including stone floors, ceramics, LVT, Amtico and Karndean.

If, for any reason your flooring is past the point of being able to be restored then we highly recommend Stories Flooring for purchasing your new floor.

+ FAQs About Tiled Floor & Wall Cleaning

    Q. What types of hard floors can you clean?

    A. All glazed or sealed ceramic and porcelain type floors and wall tiles can be safely steam cleaned for an economical cost with excellent results. Other types of floors such as unsealed stone, slate or marble require more specialised cleaning. In these cases we will need to carry out a site visit and discuss your needs in more detail.

    Q. Can you clean hardwood or laminate floors?

    A. We would not recommend steam cleaning these types of floors as they are very sensitive to moisture and can be easily damaged.

    Q. I have noticed that since my floor was laid the grout has become very dirty and discoloured – how effectively does the grout clean up with your process?

    A. Unless the grout was sealed by the tiler when he laid your floor which in our experience is unusual, there is only so much we can realistically do to improve it by cleaning. This is because the grout is absorbent and so takes on discolouration quickly. However, we now offer a grout recolouring and sealing service which can be used to prevent this problem reoccurring in the future. Call us for details or Click here
